My Mums Wedding Dress
I can still look back at my wedding dress and I wouldn’t change a thing. I became obsessive about what style I wanted to go for…I looked through so many magazines. Then one day there it was. A long oyster duchess satin coat dress, with downy feather trim round the low scooped neck, and a laced-up bodice. This was over an above the knee skirt that you could only see when walking. It was like the Snow Queen, Narnia, fairy stories…with a bit of a surprise.
It had plenty of tradition – pale colour, long, elegant. But with the twist of a short skirt and the feather trim. I loved it. I loved how I felt wearing it. It felt like me.
